What can I do when the PB text editor refuses to do what I tell it to?

When posting something out of a word processing program, try pasting it into Notepad or some other plain text program before transferring it to the PB WIKI text editor. It will strip it of any hidden coding.

What can I do when I can't get two spaces between my paragraphs?

When you are creating double line breaks between your paragraphs without success, try pushing your return key once and then hit your space bar. Press "Save" at the bottom of the page. If triple line breaks appear go back to edit, eliminate one of the spaces, and hit save again. That should give you the double spaces you need.

What can I do when photos don't show up where I want them to or when they push other features on a page out of alignment?

If inserted photos don't show up where you want them to, try making the photos smaller (if you have a photo editor), and click "Save." The problem may have arisen because the photos were taking up more space on the page than estimated without being able to view the sidebar in edit mode. If you are handy with html, you might try going into source code and making the table width smaller.

What purpose do the administrators serve on a website anyone can edit?

The administrators make sure the WIKI is operating smoothly, offer advice as necessary, and try to exercise only light editorial control to prevent spam and extreme ad hominem attacks. They are, however, members of the learning community and may exercise the same editorial privileges as other general users.
